Service Fee may increase if Reptile is believed to have positioned itself amongst Clutter in a Room, Rubbish in yard, Log piles, thick garden beds etc. If Catcher is asked to search these vicinities resulting in lifting and removing items in their search an extended fee may apply. Catcher will return standard, liftable items to their places in a normal room setup however in event of a cuttered room or garden rubbish etc situation, Catcher is not obliged to return items to their places once search has been completed.
ROOF INSPECTIONS TERMS OF ENTRY...
A Snake / Possum in a Roof call is classed as a Roof Inspection Job with a callout fee of $150.00 for up to 30 mins inside roof. (This duration may vary dependant on heat, weather conditions and Roof debris). Should Wildlife not be found in this time frame an Extended Service Fee may be charged to continue.
Roof Inspections can be dangerous based on roofs' interior. Roofs with insulation batts result in longer inspections as negating around and under batts takes time. if Batts are in poor condition including torn & lifted our Catchers are not obliged to look between layers as tiny fibreglass particles from insulation wool is a health hazard when disturbed, airborne and breathed in.
Roofs with clutter including electrical wiring, Air Conditioning duct piping and other hazardous materials spread around roof flooring make it hard to determine safe crawling paths for Catchers. For this reason, if a roof accident occurs involving damage to flooring / ceiling of room, our Catchers cannot be held responsible.
If a large Snake is found in roof and accessible, requiring our Catcher to chase it down and perform wrangling techniques to secure a safe hold of its body while crouching in roof, accidents may occur. It can be a tedious, challenging and on occasions dangerous job restraining a Snakes' body to avoid being bitten or constricted while carrying / manouvering it into a bag if unable to stand and gain balance in a roof.
Possums, if performing a manual catch or setting / carrying a trap may also cause unintentional damage. Catcher is required to keep themselves balanced, crouching and crawling in roof, climbing over debris, while holding and carrying Wildife and / or equipment. This may result in floor board damage if Catcher is made to place a foot on ceiling floor to control and stabilise their situation.
** Under these circumstances, A1 Snake Relocations & Snake Catch Moreton Bay cannot take responsibility for Roof accidents **.
Should you wish to not be placed in above situation you can request Catcher inspect for Wildlife, take photos if possible and return to show you. Next steps can be discussed by both parties before re-entering roof, understanding damage may occur if Catcher is told to proceed.
Catcher must be advised to only take photo and return to resident FIRST before Roof Job commences, otherwise Catcher will perform catch as hired on first entry of roof.
** No responsibility can be taken for any accidents occuring in roof while securing Wildlife **
WILDLIFE WELFARE CHECKS
A1 Snake Relocations & Snake Catcher Moreton Bay are Eco-friendly Catchers who care for both Residents and Reptiles. Upon securing an animal we carry out welfare checks and if needed, take Wildlife to Aust Zoo Wildlife Hospital (Beewah) or Exotic Vet for assessment and medical treatment. Should animal be cleared for release post treatment, they are returned to your area and placed in the closest bushland with water source. Snakes have a territorial range of 1.5 KM. As we cannot determine where their territory starts and finsihes from a catch location, we return them within 1 KM of premises in safest abode for them to continue surviving.
Possums can only be relocated within the vicinity they are found. This is the territory by nature and their home. If a possum is removed from a Roof, we suggest you purchase a Possum Box ($45.00) and have this installed for the possum to live in so they don't retry to enter your roof.
